The Malpractice - Tectonics
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then on listening to the opening track from Danish band The Malpractice's new album Tectonics, Trent Reznor is getting misty-eyed as he remembers the fun and games he had as a young man.
But perhaps this is a red herring. The subsequent tracks still adhere to industrial, nihilistic rock albeit with increasing power pop overtones. Perhaps this is what Paramore fans will start to listen to when hair starts to sprout in unexpected places. For others, this is the euro industrial electro pop rock album that Tin Machine never made.
