Rewind Scotland 2012 - Sunday - Scone Place Perthshire
22 July 2012
The second day of Scotland's Rewind Festival offered up several acts from the slightly more alternative side of pop, with Altered Images, Marc Almond, ABC, Roland Gift and Adam Ant all (stand and) delivering a plethora of prime pop pleasers.
It was a great day for me musically, with lots of stand out performances but my main highlights were all of Adam's set and Roland's take on his former band Fine Young Cannibals debut single 'Johnny Come Home', as it felt like a huge honour to hear his sumptuous voice live.
The weather held out for most of the weekend but it was a bit drizzly for the last couple of hours. The crowd didn't seem that bothered though as the final two acts of the day really brought smiles to their faces, with Village People and former Frankie Goes To Hollywood frontman Holly Johnson blowing the audience away, especially the 'YMCA' boys, with their camp classics causing the majority of the audience to bust a few moves, resulting in numerous people praising the act and singing their hits as they left the arena an hour or so later.
Hopefully Rewind Scotland will be back in Perth for its third year in 2013 as it's definitely a great, fun event to attend.
