Music news round up: w/e 25 Aug
Yorkshire doom-mongers My Dying Bride will entitle their forthcoming opus A Map Of All Our Failures, which will be released on October 15th through Peaceville Records on CD, double vinyl & special edition CD/DVD. The band will also be embarking upon a European tour in December, with the sole UK date being the 02 Academy Islington in London on December 7th, in support of the album, as well as a local appearance at the esteemed Damnation Festival in Leeds on November 3rd, at which Peaceville will be a proud sponsor to coincide with the label's 25th anniversary. The tracklisting is as follows:

Canadian doom/drone duo Nadja have announced their first new album in over two years, with Dagdrøm set for release via Broken Spine Productions on October 30th on both CD and limited vinyl. The album also features live drums courtesy of Mac McNeilly from The Jesus Lizard. The first track 'One Sense Alone' is available to stream below.
Last.fm have announced that the next two bands to partake in their Last.fm Originals sessions will be indie pop stars Noisettes, whose appearance is set to go live on September 5th, with Seattle based alt-rockers Minus The Bear following shortly after.

Rebecca Ferguson's new single 'Backtrack' is set for release on October 14th through Sony. A deluxe edition of her debut album Heaven will be available the following day (15th), with five extra tracks: 'Backtrack', 'Good Days, Bad Days', a cover of Drake’s 'Take Care', 'I’ll Count The Days' (taken from the forthcoming new series of Downton Abbey and with lyrics written especially for Rebecca by Don Black), plus her cover of Aqualung’s 'Strange And Beautiful'.
Tori Amos has reimagined a handpicked selection of tracks from her 20-year career for new album Gold Dust, out on October 1st through Deutsche Grammophon / Mercury Classics. Produced by Amos with arrangements by long-time collaborator John Philip Shenale, Gold Dust sees Amos rework her tracks in orchestral settings which were recorded with the renowned Metropole Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley. Tori Amos plays the Royal Albert Hall on October 3rd as part of her European and US orchestral tour.
Yeasayer’s third album, Fragrant World, is out now on Mute. Their upcoming tour dates are as follows:
