Little Mix achieve fastest selling group single of the year
Little Mix's 'Wings' has become 2012's fastest selling single released by a group.
It's the X Factor winners' second number one single following their chart-topping debut single 'Cannonball'. 'Wings' shifted 106,766 copies to land the top spot.
Band member Jesy commented: "This has been the best week ever. We feel like ‘Wings’ is our baby that we’ve been waiting to unleash on the world. To have it released and go straight to No.1 is just incredible. Thank you to everyone that has bought the single this week, it means so much to us."
Little Mix are currently writing and recording their debut album, set for release in November.
