Summer Rites - Shoreditch Park, London

London's 2011 Summer Rites one day festival was voted the most popular event in the annual gay calendar by Boyz magazine and the 2012 bash looked equally successful, with thousand of partying punters trekking along to Shoreditch Park to take in a variety of DJs in numerous tents and a host of live acts on the main stage.
The afternoon mostly delivered a dazzling array of extremely entertaining drag ensembles, with the evening offering several live acts, with stand outs a one song stint from X Factor sensation Lucy Spraggan, ex Sugababe and one third of Mutya Keisha Siobhan - Mutya Buena - performing tracks from her solo album and Babes singles 'Overload' and 'Freak Like Me' and Culture Club main man Boy George headlining the night in style, offering new and old material, including a tremendous 'Church Of The Poisoned Mind'.
