BBC Radio 2 Live - Hyde Park, London

9 September 2012

Hyde Park was bathed in glorious sunshine for the best part of Radio 2's one day Festival. The event was introduced by several Radio 2 broadcasters and headlined by Welsh wonder, Sir Tom Jones. Unfortunately the majority of official photographers attending (including The Fix) weren't allowed to shoot his set. It's not unusual but it was a pain just the same! That meant we didn't hang around to catch his performance but still left the venue thoroughly entertained having taken in a variety of sets including a crowd pleasing sensational stint from Jessie J, Fix favourites Katzenjammer, rock veterans Status Quo (who even had the noisy teenage Jessie fans down the front reluctantly enjoying their songs), US country superstars The Band Perry and the always enchanting Paloma Faith.
