The band’s previous UK tours have all been blistering, tinglingly-awaited, sold-out occasions, and this one should be no different, as they will be airing new material from their upcoming debut album, released on Heavenly/ Co-op on February 1. The taut, punky garage rock they first showcased on the “Nightlife” single and the “Extinction” EP (both long since sold out) has now been refined to a razor sharp edge, with the result being that The Soft Pack’s album is a slice of gloriously careening and heart quickening rock and roll, one which sounds just as vital, urgent and potent on a messy night out as it is played in your bedroom at maximum volume.
