Casiokids hook up with Hot Chip
February sees Norway's electro pop quintet Casiokids return to the UK for an extensive tour as main support for Hot Chip. In addition they will bring their addictive melodies and heavy pop hooks to London's Barfly for a one off intimate show. Drawing inspiration from Paul Simon's Graceland, Ivor Cutler, King Tubby, Bob Hund, Cornelius and Fela Kuti, Casiokids prove themselves to be one of most new acts around.
After three sublime singles on Moshi Moshi (responsible for discovering Florence + the Machine, The Drums, Friendly Fires) 2010 looks set to be the year that Casiokids win over even more fans with their remarkable tunes despite them singing in their native tongue. The band are fitting in working on new material in Bergen, Norway whilst touring relentlessly throughout Europe. Casiokids will release a compilation album featuring their previous singles plus more exclusive new material later this year.
