Two of our favourite festivals have announced new names to their 2017 lineup.

Green Man has added a Thursday night headliners in the shape of reformed Ride. They'll be bringing some dreamy indie-rock to the Far Out Stage to open the main days of the festival. As well as handing over the Far Out area to the immensely popular Chai Wallahs late into the night, the other names announced by the Welsh festival are: Allah-Las, Hinds, Daniel Avery, D.D Dumbo, Charlotte Day Wilson, The Mattson 2, Adam Torres, Chelou, Cobalt Chapel, Toby Hay, Stevie Parker, Tom Hickox, Jae Tyler, Brooke Bentham, Madonnatron, Bess Atwell. For full details on tickets and the lineup head to the festival website.

Meanwhile, Latitude has given names to spaces in their comedy lineup, and there are some tasty names among them. Leading the way is a return for Dara O'Briain and Simon Amstell, while Katherine Ryan, Joel Dommett, Andy Parsons, Dom Joly, and Angelos and Barry will also be heading into the big field in the east of England. There are an absolute dumper truck of new names which you can find a big list of on the festival website. Heading up the acts on The Lake Stage are Cabbage, Jorja Smith, and The Magic Gang, while other names announced include Gill Landry, Aldous Harding, and Marika Hackman.
